Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven M&E Sales/Design Manager to join our senior management team.
THE ROLE
This role is an exciting opportunity for a sales-focused mechanical designer with strong leadership, presentation and communication skills to drive business growth, expand our M&E sales team and design and lead high-value M&E projects. This high-impact senior management position offers the opportunity to shape the future of Recotherm through a focus on technical sales, design knowledge, business development and team growth. You will be responsible for driving technical engagement with M&E contractors and consultants, expanding and mentoring a team of Design Technicians, delivering strategic sales initiatives, presenting CPDs and representing the company at industry trade shows.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead M&E HVAC sales, engaging with M&E contractors and consultants to drive business growth
- Expand and develop the design team, recruiting and mentoring new talent
- Oversee all M&E projects, ensuring successful execution and client satisfaction
- Responsibility for approximately 40% of M&E quotations
- Deliver engaging presentations and CPD training to industry professionals
- Conduct on-site surveys
- Participate in technical and management meetings, contributing to business strategy
- Provide verbal and written technical expertise, ensuring clear and confident communication
- Handle complex technical challenges and customer conflict resolution effectively.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- Proven sales-driven mechanical designer with a strong commercial focus
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to engage clients and stakeholders effectively
- Strong presentation skills, confident in delivering CPD training and industry talks
- HVAC & AHU expertise, with detailed knowledge of psychrometrics (essential)
- Knowledge of swimming pool ventilation (preferred but training can be given)
- Proficiency in CAD, Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of Salesforce (or equivalent) although full training will be given
- Previous team management experience, with the ability to recruit, lead, and develop staff
- A strategic thinker who is ambitious and driven to step into a board level role in the future
- A CIBSE member
- Must have 5-10 years working experience within the M&E sector.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Must have a qualification in either M&E Engineering, Building Services Management or Environmental Engineering.
