  • Pumps and filtration equipment
  • Water treatment equipment including ozone, ultra violet and chemical dosing units

Job Title:  SWIMMING POOL ENGINEER

DESCRIPTION

  • Recommissioning and decommissioning swimming pools (making ready for use in the spring and closing down for the winter)
  • Maintaining swimming pools for our customers. This involves regular service visits to ensure that the pools are clean and safe to swim in, adding any required chemicals and ensuring that all the pool equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Repairs where required. This may involve repairs to pipework, patching pool liners, replacing tiles, altering or replacing time clocks, rectifying any problems with pool heaters, pumps and filters.
  • Delivery of chemicals and equipment when required.

General building work.  This is mostly carried out in the winter months when most pools are not in use.  Work involved will include paving, re-laying slabs and coping stones, replacing tiles, fitting new pool liners, refurbishing of swimming pools etc.

OUR REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience or an understanding of any of the following: – pool maintenance, building, plumbing and heating, electrical work.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Honesty and integrity, must have no criminal record.
  • Flexibility as to hours worked (the working day is longer in the summer)
  • The ability to deal with a wide range of customers.
  • Attention to detail to ensure that the customers pool and surrounding area is left in immaculate condition.
  • Age is immaterial but must be fit and healthy.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced engineer to be part of our busy maintenance department.

THE ROLE:
Servicing swimming pools and spas in London and the surrounding counties. Maintaining filtration equipment, Bayrol chemical dosing units, UV systems and water testing.

EXPERIENCE:
Proven experience within the domestic and commercial swimming pool industry is required for this position.  An ISPE or equivalent qualification would be advantageous. The chosen candidate will be confident of working by themselves and representing Morgan Pools in a professional manner at all times.

EMPLOYMENT PACKAGE:

Detailed Person Requirements:

  • Have 2+ years of experience in the construction/swimming pool industry
  • Experience of managing crews and subcontractors
  • Have experience of working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Own a Clean UK Driving license and be clean and professional in appearance
  • Knowledge and experience with excavating equipment and hardscape installation
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety policy and legislation / CDM regulations

We are looking for a reliable, confident person, who is able to work both on their own and as part of a team. Flexibility and a mature work ethic are pre-requisites.  Due to the seasonal nature of our business you may be required to work locally, regionally or within the office. The job is based in Kent.

Our initial requirement is for a swimming pool engineer dealing with pool services and repairs to swimming pool equipment. The applicant will have a proven track record of fault finding, repairs and installation of all main swimming pool equipment. Swimming Pool Engineer

we are looking to extend our current specialised team and we have an immediate position available for a full-time Swimming Pool Engineer

Applicants must have experience in the Swimming Pool industry with a working knowledge of installing/operating Plant Equipment. Experience in domestic plumbing would be an advantage.

Our company offices are based in Rayleigh, Essex and the majority of our contracts are within the M25 however, we have contracts throughout the UK and you will be required to travel as and when required. All current projects are in Essex/London.

The successful applicant who will be joining our professional finishing team for high-end domestic and commercial swimming pools will fit the following criteria:

  • Ideally have a good working history in the installation of domestic/commercial filtration systems
  • Be physically fit and able to carry out their duties with a can-do attitude and strong technical aptitude.
  • Be presentable, self-motivated and take pride in and be responsible for their work.
  • Have an excellent understanding of written/verbal English
  • Able to interpret design drawings
  • Able to work as part of a team with an approachable and friendly manner
  • Conduct themselves professionally/respectfully at all times
  • Display good communication skills
  • Hold a full driving licence and a valid CSCS card
  • Be CIS registered with a UTR number

Remuneration will be based on experience of the industry
